Job Summary:
The Web Producer is a member of the Web and New Media Web Production team. Primary responsibilities include web project management, UI design, and HTML production on the netapp.com international (multi-lingual) websites, partner extranet and marketing/sales intranet sites. Responsibilities include content maintenance, user support and web publishing training for the user community. Prospective candidates should be competent in all basic web production technologies and techniques.
Essential Functions:
• Web project management and production for daily requests, product launches, announcements, etc.
• HTML creation and maintenance of NetApp internal and external web sites.
• Participation in various cross-functional web based projects.
• Create wireframes and organize/lead usability studies for web redesigns or new web site layouts.
• Coordination of third party production resources.
• User support, training & administration for enterprise content management applications.
• Proactive communication with country marketing managers (requesters) and internal teams to complete the web update task in timely manner.
• Documentation of Intl. web sites and other reports.
• Maintain the quality of the sites
Requirements:
• 2-4 years of professional experience developing large-scale websites or corporate Intranets.
• Able to hand-code HTML, CSS, Javascript
• Skills in effective web design, usability best practices, implementation, development, content management and information architecture.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strong knowledge of web development tools including Photoshop and HTML editing tools (HomeSite, ColdFusion, etc).
• Effective written and oral communication skills a must.
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, be a strong proactive team player.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to quickly respond to user requests.
• Ability to understand and execute design based on corporate style guidelines and company culture.
• Knowledge of any one or more of the following languages (German, French, Spanish and Italian) is a plus .
• Experience with version control software, CMS (Content Management System) is a plus
• Website localization experience is a plus
